NEW MOON JULY 31ST WITH SIX PLANETS RETROGRADE, SO... NOW WHAT?

The NEW Moon is on July 31st, but with six planets in retrograde including our dear friend Mercury (which will be moving direct at the same time), well let's just say we better skip the candle ritual this go-round! Instead, we should focus our energy on cleaning up our past, completing old projects, and avoid starting anything new until August 1st.

The good news is that since Mercury goes direct on July 31st we are almost out of it, but with the other five planets remaining in retrograde the regular rules do not apply. Since each planet affects you differently both during a retrograde and as it goes direct, I created a list with a brief description to help guide you through the transition.

​RETROGRADE TIMELINES

1. MERCURY

Mercury goes direct on July 31st and is all about communication. When Mercury is retrograde it's as if there is a communication shut down and things are moving backward. The reason you should NOT light any ritual candles when Mercury is moving direct is that there is a three day shadow period during the transition. If you light a candle for ritual purposes you might create the opposite effect of your intention. Instead, spend some quality time with family.

2. JUPITER

Jupiter is retrograde until August 11th which means that it is not the best time to buy luxury items. Let's say you hire an interior designer to change your living space. Once Jupiter goes direct you won't be happy with what you've changed and you'll wonder why you did it. This same example can apply to other things like your hair! In other words, don't make any dramatic changes until after the 11th.

3. URANUS

Uranus goes retrograde on August 11th until January 10th when it goes direct. When Uranus is retrograde, for better or for worse, expect the unexpected. Because of other planets involved, this should be a good retrograde for Uranus.

4. SATURN

Saturn goes direct on September 18th. With Saturn, it's like a double-edged sword. No matter how much you try to get something done you won't finish it on time. You'll feel stuck. But the positive side of Saturn being retrograde is it's a good time to think outside the box. During this timeframe, it's easier to tap into your creativity; to see things and think about things you wouldn't normally discover.

5. PLUTO

Pluto goes direct on October 3rd. Pluto's retrograde does a lot of cleaning out! Usually when it is retrograde more people cross over to the other side. It's like the grim reaper has a 2 for the price of 1 sale. The good thing is that it is a great time to quit smoking or giving up a bad habit.

6. NEPTUNE

Neptune goes direct on November 27th, which means overbearing deception. Let's say you fell in love with someone during this retrograde, but once Neptune goes direct your feelings change. The veil is lifted, you see clearly, and you suddenly fall out of love. What you thought was there - is not there at all! It's sort of like you fall in love with a person that looks like Chris Hemsworth but then Neptune goes direct and you realize he looks like Donald Trump!

With all these retrogrades going on just try to take it one step at a time and use your God-given intuition.
